2024 Alumni Reunion
The 2024 reunion was held at the Curtiss Museum on July 27, 2024. We are proud to note there were 140 alumni attendees ranging from the Class of 1952 to the Class of 2024. Attendees were able to socialize with classmates and friends, as well as take in exhibits of the museum.
Three Seniors were recognized by the Association and awarded $1,500 each. Danica Dresser received the Humanities Award, Gabrielle Doyle was unable to attend, but received the Science, Math and Technology Award and Liam McLoud received the Outstanding Achievement Award.
Robert Niver (1952) was inducted into the Hammondsport Central School District Wall of Fame for six decades of distinguished service in education and for his leadership of the Hammondsport Alumni Association. Superintendent of HCSD, Kyle Bower presented the award.
The family of William Fries Sr. received special recognition and a plaque to commemorate Bill’s service to the Hammondsport community and the Alumni Association.
Terry Underhill (1972), the President of the Alumni Association, noted the many accomplishments of the Alumni Board this year. Elections of the Vice-President and Secretary were held. Kate Linehan (1997) will be our new Vice-President, and Angel Turner Snyder (1986) will continue as Secretary. Also, three by-law changes were voted on and accepted.
We are already looking forward to next year’s event, always held on the last Saturday in July.
